While at grandpa david’s (how fitting, the cola drinkers haven) near Xmas, we were all drinking out of dark blue glasses so it was hard to tell the contents. We accidentally gave you someone’s coke to drink. You hated it. And now you seem to hate anything with ‘bubbles’.

Beets
Today you tried beets! Primo Zylus loves beets and ate nearly all of them. He suggested you try them. Of course your first answer was no. But I said you could have more bread (warm pita bread) if you tried the beets. You ate a small piece and said you didn’t like it. Then, later, you asked for more beets. But they were all gone (Zylus strikes again). Nonna asked for some more but then you didn’t want them. We’ll try again another time (not sure when cuz I don’t think mamae likes them and I don’t either).

More Potty Progress
The teacher said today you went to the bathroom, undressed yourself and sat on the potty yourself. Nothing much happened, but you then dressed yourself. GREAT progress.

Cama de mamae
I told mamae the day would come when you would be in your room asleep, wake up, go to our room, get in our bed and we aren’t even there. That day was yesterday. We came upstairs, your door was wide open, you weren’t in your bed, and you were laying in our bed asleep.

Felix Ballet Dancing
While visiting Nona and Poppa, they were dog sitting Felix. You and I took him for a walk and of course he lifted his leg to pee on every tree. You said that he was ballet dancing (like Olivia). I almost feel over laughing. I did explain he was peeing eventually.

Big bath
finally, after 2 years, 7 months and 18 days you decided to use the big bath tub. you did not want to go in at first, but you had fun fishing and playing with your toys. the second day (yesterday) you still didn’t want to go in at first but got over it pretty quick. the third day (today) you had no problems going in and even put the shower spray water on your tummy.
while it’s a good move in general I think my back preferred the baby tub.

Spitting water
after a few months of try to learn to spit (you would always swollow the water) you finally learned. First, on Tuesday you let the water fall out of your mouth (as I was trying to get you to do that first) the after 2 days of that, on thursday you finally spit for real!
it’s pretty funny because you spit food out you don’t like fairly often. why water was so different.

Reading to daddy
For about two weeks you have been reading to me at bed time. some books you have memorized (rato) and can say the entire thing while others you know the last word of every sentence (like little pea, sometimes more than just the last word though). Most you tell the story based on the pictures.

Lots of singing
I love it when you sing. You’ve suprised me and sang some things I didn’t know you knew (baby are you down, poker face). You watched snow white once and were singing it soon as it was done.
