  • Independant Standing

Today you stood and balanced all by yourself (for 5? seconds).
Yesterday to did it as well. Though, once you were standing by yourself, you weren’t sure what to do next.

  • Spaghetti with Cheese

So we gave you some 9 month old food, though I don’t think you liked it much.
How can an italian not like spaghetti with cheese? (I didn’t try it so maybe it does suck).

  • Many (assisted) steps

Mother’s day, you took 150 steps chasing Gato all around the apartment. You might have kept going, but Gato went into the kitchen and the tiles are not safe in there so I stopped you. Plus it was time to go to eat.

  • Thirsty in the Desert

We went house hunting in Austin and the dry weather really made you (and everyone) very thirsty. When we gave you some water, you attacked it!

  • No Winter Squash

Seems you don’t like winter squash. Tried twice and both times you ate about 3 spoons and that was it. Guess we won’t buy that anymore. (I agree, not very good stuff).

  • Holding your bottle

You usually just play with the bottle if we let you grab it, but once and awhile you actually hold it and drink from it, all by yourself.

  • Self Soothing: Squishing faces

While we try to get you to sleep, you like to squish mommy and my face, mostly trying to squeeze our noses, mouth, chin. If your nails are at all long, it can be a very painful experience. You need a better self soothing habit, soon!

  • Please stand up

A couple of days ago, you were sitting on the couch with me and wanted to see what was going on behind me, so you grabbed my arm (and arm hair) and pulled yourself up to a standing position! Yeah (and ouch).

  • Hicky for Mommy

Mommy got home from work, you were hungry, but mommy wanted to kiss you, so you decided to suck on her chin. She must have let you do it for awhile so Vovo could take pictures.

Later, I asked mommy what happened to her chin and she realized it was a hicky from you sucking on her chin.

That will teach her to not feed you!

  • Sleepy:1 eye open

Seems that when we went to Michigan, you started falling a sleep with 1 eye open. Maybe you were doing it sooner and I just noticed it for the first time.

Even now that we’ve been back in Washington for a bit, I still notice you falling a sleep with your left eye (usually) slightly open.

    Cracks me up.
