  • Swim class

Today you had your first swim class at nitro swim. You cried when I picked you up at school. You cried in the car for a little bit. Both mamae (over the phone) and I explained what would happen and that it was important and fun. Also mention you could pick out goggles but you said you didn’t want any. When we got there you were pretty good. I signed you in and asked you to pick out your goggles. You wanted the red ones but the guy said they were too big so you picked green. Put on your suit and the woman called nitro 1. She let me go with you to teacher #1. There was one other boy who was probably on his first day in your group. The teacher was nice and you went into her arms no problem. You followed her directions. You seemed to be having lots of fun. See! You need to trust us!

  • Using the bathroom by yourself

A couple weeks ago you started telling us you wanted to go to the bathroom by yourself. You still ask us to go with you more often than by yourself but … progress.

  • Something new: chick peas

You finally tried and liked chick peas, though complained about the parsley mixed in the ‘salad’.

  • Self washing in the tub

I have been (on and off) trying to get you to wash yourself, but you were not very interested. Tonight you saw the Dove soap and wanted to use it. Even though I had already washed most of you, I let you wash again. You got your hands soap (via my instructions) and washed your belly, under your arms, arms, legs, and you sat down and washed your feet and in between your toes. Such a big girl.

  • Pooping without the step

You showed us you don’t even need the step to get on the (big) potty. You can pee all by yourself (I typically watch to make sure you clean your hands). Such a big girl!

  • Super bad dream

Last night you must have had a super bad dream (when we ask you, you rarely confirm, this time you did more or less) cuz you woke up and sat at the top of the stairs making a weird noise. Super mom instincts kicked in and woke her up from a deep sleep to call to you (you didn’t say anything so she called me). We were sleeping in a diff config (me and mamae on the first floor with Vovo and vova in the master because Eric was born and Lu was recovering from the c-section) so maybe that is why you didn’t go into our room? Though you did a couple nights before. Night terror maybe?

  • Big sister

You met your baby brother today at the hospital. You were scared to be there since you hate hospitals. You saw him but didn’t know what to do. You gave him a kiss but wasn’t really paying him much attention. We’ll see how you will interact with him when we go home.

  • Going back to bed

About a week ago, I had a long talk with you when you came to our bed in the middle of the night. Normally we are sleepy and gave up long ago putting you back in your bed, cuz you would cry bloody murder. But after that talk, the next 2 nights you went back to your bed without any fuss. Then there was 2-3 nights when you wouldn’t go back. Then tonight, you went back. Slow change?

  • Oopsy Daisy

New fun phrases (from School): oopsy daisy. So cute when you say it.

  • Cough Fix, Again

So, you’ve been coughing almost since we got back from Florida.
I’d say the peak was a couple days ago. Hopefully it is going down.

We’re trying Nasanex based on the ENT’s (Zack?) suggestion.
You had it Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday so far. Should take at least a week.
