I’ve been fairly consistently reading the same 6 books at bedtime: Curoius Gorge (little bunny house), Cade (rato), Little Pea, Little Hoot, My cat just sleeps and I’ll see you in the morning.

You can now go down all of the slides at Avery ranch park by yourself, except the tube one. For some reason you don’t want to go by yourself but you will go with me.

Two days in a row you ask Tati to take a nap in your bed. If only you would do that at night.

So the no nap thing (from a couple months ago didn’t last more than a month) buy seems you’re trying it again by not napping until very late (sometimes starting at 4pm). Of course when you do nap that late it messes things up for the evening and you end up going to bed close to 10pm. When you don’t nap you get pretty crabby and even start to ask to sleep even if you don’t fall asleep until 9:30 like tonight.

Today you woke up at 6am (we didn’t give you benadyl but it sure seems to help keep your nose clear). You didn’t go back to sleep and mamae brought you to our bed. Still you wouldn’t go to sleep. I left to sleep in another bed because you lay with your head near mamae and your feet on my back and you kick me. Eventually mamae gave up trying to get you to sleep and called me. I took you down stairs for breakfast (mmm cinnabon) and when you were done you said “querer mimi”. So I brought you back upstairs and asked if you wanted to sleep in your bed. You said no so I left you with mamae and you sleep about 2 more hours with her.

Then you didn’t take a nap today.

You seem to love to help us. Today, you helped me put all of the dirty spoons in the dish washer. You also said obrigada for each spoon I gave you! So cute and polite!

When you sleep thru the night (somewhat rare, but improving) in the morning I say “Julia dormir bem”. So, Sunday and Monday you slept thru the night and you told me in the morning “dormir bem.”

Do it more often please.

Mamae took you to the ballet. Seems you were ok until the lights went down and it got dark. Then you said you didn’t like it so mamae had to take you out. You seemed to enjoy the dance class thought.

You keep saying abrusha (witch). Seems the witch in sleeping beauty is pretty scary.

While mamae was in NY you got a runny nose which of course turned into a cough. Now it’s pretty bad. Yesterday you finally slept thru the nite but the previous nights you were up a lot, coughing. Hopefully you’re almost over this one.
