you refused to go to sleep at your ‘normal time’. we were hungry so we brought you down stairs and sat you in the bugaboo while we ate dinner. by the time we finished it was nearly 1am and you were still wide awake. no way you were going to sleep in your crib so we brought you to bed. luckily you eventually fell asleep. I put you in your crib a 5:30am only to have you wake up at 6:30am. needless to say we were all wiped out the next day.

our little boar
so instead of the kitty face and breathing, you’ve become our little boar. you grunt and make noises just like a boar. sounds like a modified version of the piggie noise that vovo makes.

ma ma
you’ve started saying ‘ma ma’ (much to mommy’s joy).
(you have been saying da da for awhile if I haven’t blogged that yet)

2nd visit to the pool
today we took you to our community pool. you were very hesitate in the kiddie pool. once we got you in the big pool you had a good time. except when I let your face go into the water. we also took you to the side pool with a ‘water fall’. you loved putting your hand in the falling water, trying to grab it.
you took a long nap after: 4pm till 6:30pm. lets see if you sleep at all tonite.

pushing chasing
you’re so cute when you crawl around and push a ball in front of you. your push method is interesting: because your crawling, you just keep you palm facing down and flick your wrist up to send the ball rolling.

props: allowing you to eat
props, as your mom coined them, are anything safe for you to have while eating. it started with a plastic (round) container for nuts. it expanded to all the tupperware in the house, recyclables like our juice bottles (specially the tops), the metal lids for you baby food.
the props distract you and change you from a spaz to a busy, mouth open, eating baby. its magic!
spinning them helps. opening them helps. putting on inside another helps. all my tricks to get you to eat your meals.

Julia ‘Spaz’ Misura
your new nick name because while seated in your chair at the dinner table, you spaz when we try to feed you, even though when we finally get the spoon in your mouth, you’re like ‘oh yeah, I like that’. I wish you wouldn’t spaz so much about this.

Second tooth
We can now feel the second bottom front tooth when we touch your gums. It likely cut through yesterday, so now you have 2 teeth and the top ones seem to be coming out soon.
